What is conversion rate optimization (CRO)?

CRO is the structured process of getting more leads, sales or signups from the traffic you already have. Instead of buying more visitors, you make a higher percentage of existing visitors take action. For most SA SMEs, doubling conversion rate is far cheaper than doubling traffic.

How much traffic do I need before CRO is worth it?

We typically recommend at least 2,000–3,000 monthly visitors or 50+ conversions/month for proper A/B testing. Below that we still do CRO — just based on heuristics, user testing and qualitative research instead of statistical tests.

What kind of conversion lift can I expect?

Do you use heatmaps and session recordings?

Will I need to redesign my whole site?

Almost never. CRO is mostly surgical changes — a hero rewrite, a checkout fix, a button colour test, a form reduction. We work with what you have and only recommend redesign if the foundation is genuinely broken.

How is this different from SEO or paid ads?

SEO and ads bring traffic. CRO converts that traffic. They're complementary — but if your conversion rate is broken, more traffic just means more wasted spend. CRO usually has the fastest ROI of the three.
